Training activity

The first training activity that was successfully implemented was the Training of trainers on human rights and democratic citizenship. Its main objective is to support the building of an inclusive and democratic school environment for all. The second module of this training was completed by 10 participants on 30 November 2020. This module consisted of five online meetings of the trainees with European Wergeland Centre lecturers, who introduced them to the Framework of Reference for Democratic Culture, the whole-school approach, interactive learning methods and the learner-centred approach, inclusive policies in school, and also to practices for the prevention of discrimination.

On the basis of acquired knowledge and competences, the participants, who are all professionals in the field of education, prepare activities aimed at promoting inclusive policies in the school/schools or organisations they work for. This third module, which runs from the beginning of December 2020 to the end of April 2021, is also called the implementation phase because the participants will implement and evaluate the activities they have planned. Lecturers Jana Randa and Olena Styslavska guide them through the whole process.

Further information on the implementation of the project activities will be continuously provided within the new methodological (educational) portal, which will be part of the National Institute for Education´s website.
